I’m Rob Pereyda, and I want to help you shape the future of anime and games.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been using emerging technologies to drive transformation across anime and games. Now, I want to share what I’ve learned. This space means a lot to me, and nothing makes me happier than passing on knowledge and sparking big ideas in others as they embark on their own journeys.

What’s Here

Insights, analysis, and predictions across anime, video games, manga, VTubers, webtoons, and more — building off of my two decades of hands-on experience in the space. I’ll also post event reports, because bringing people together is one of my favorite things to do (and it’s fun).

About Me

A key moment that influenced my career before it even started was circa 1993 when an 11-year old me saw Vampire Hunter D on a local TV station and was traumatized blown away by visuals I didn’t know could even exist (talking hand, anyone?). Another was in 1998 when I discovered I could use the internet to arbitrage Japanese Pokémon cards for big multiples online.

Since then, I’ve worked at the intersection of anime and games, with stints at Capcom, Crunchyroll, Bandai Namco, VIZ Media, Netflix, and now Gamebeast. I also run my own consulting firm, Henshin — a name I love so much I bought all the domains.

Feel free to reach out to me, but please know I cannot look at unsolicited pitches.
